Russia summons UK diplomat over arms supplies to Kyiv
TLE Desk: Russia on Friday summoned the UK’s charge d’affaires in Moscow over what it described as an “escalation” in British arms supplies to Ukraine, accusing London of adopting a confrontational stance towards the conflict.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry said Danae Dholakia was handed a “strong protest” over what it called London’s continued escalation in supplying drones and other weapons to Kyiv.
The ministry said Britain’s “highly confrontational stance” on the Ukraine issue was aimed at prolonging and escalating the war.
The move comes amid continued Western military support for Ukraine as fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces persists.
