RMRN CT reviews regional structure, activities
RMRN: The Regional Media Research Network (RMRN) Core Team held a meeting on Thursday (8 October) to discuss organisational structure, regional coordination, media monitoring and publication priorities, with participants supporting a proposed framework covering South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
The meeting, moderated by Shamorita, was attended by Poornima Naik, Sikandar Khan Khalil, Rama Daru, Rumaisa A. Mohimeen and Hafsa Qadir. Participants proposed clearer team responsibilities, regular analytical publications alongside Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), daily sharing of major regional headlines and guest lectures to encourage member engagement.
The team also recommended developing a task-assignment and progress-tracking system, clarifying RMRN’s mission and improving its membership registration process. Biweekly Core Team meetings were preferred, while the regular meeting day and detailed organisational structure remain to be finalised.
The meeting aimed to strengthen coordination and ensure that regional media monitoring and discussions produce consistent, meaningful analytical outputs.
